The Avalon Adventure
Please InquireDay One: We Arrive in St. John’s and transfer to our Hotel.
Day Two: We begin our day with a leisurely morning, followed by a City Tour and free afternoon. This evening we will have our welcome dinner at a local restaurant to experience the culinary delights of St. John’s.
Day Three: Today we will explore the Avalon Peninsula by visiting Hearts Content, the site of the first Trans-Atlantic cable that revolutionized communication between two worlds. Our next visit will be the charming walking town of Brigus, home to the legendary Arctic Explorer Bob Bartlett. We return to St. John’s in the late afternoon for a leisurely evening.
Day Four: Our morning will begin with a drive along the scenic Irish Loop. This coastal trail with its spectacular scenery takes you to the Irish heart of Newfoundland and Labrador; some say its even more Irish than Ireland itself. We will continue to Ferryland, the Colony of Avalon established in 1621 visiting the museum and historic Ferryland lighthouse. We will enjoy a delicious lighthouse picnic before returning to our hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day Five: Our day begins with a visit to Cape Spear, North America’s most easterly point. We continue on to Bay Bulls embarking on a marine adventure to Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. Here we witness the habitat of thousands of puffins, the provincial bird of Newfoundland, and opportunities for whale sightings. We will then have some free time before our farewell dinner at a lovely restaurant followed by live local entertainment.
Day Six: We say goodbye and a fond farewell to the many experiences and everlasting memories of the Avalon Adventure.
